Body found by police in search for missing Irvine woman

A body has been found in the search for missing Irvine woman Natalie Kelly.

The 53-year-old’s body was discovered at Pladda Avenue in the North Ayrshire town around 9.40am on Sunday.

Police confirmed the body has been identified as Natalie Kelly and her relatives have been made aware.

A police spokesperson said: “Natalie’s family and Police Scotland thank the public for their assistance.”

A public appeal was launched yesterday to try and find Natalie, who was last seen alive in the town’s Campsie Way at around 1:30am on Saturday.

Residents in the area were asked to check sheds and outbuildings as part of the search operation.
