Body found by police in search for missing 29-year-old man in Devon

A body has been found in the search for a missing man who went missing on Saturday.

Police had been looking for Jesse Holloway from north Devon, who was last seen in the Clovelly area.

He was described as vulnerable and appeals to find him had been circulated.

In a statement Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, September 10, the body of a man was located in Woolsery and he was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene.

"Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of missing man, Jesse Holloway have been informed of this update.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

Earlier this week, police made a public appeal amid growing concerns for the welfare of Mr Holloway.

Officers had asked people to check farms and outbuildings and released a photo.

The body was discovered about four miles away from Clovelly.

An inquest date is yet to be set.
