Body found at Milford Haven thought to be that of missing woman from Herefordshire

A body found in the sea i n Pembrokeshire is thought to be that of missing Herefordshire woman, Uma Kulkarni.

Ms Kulkarni, a GP trainee from Hereford, went missing from her home on Wednesday, April 3.

Her car – a bronze coloured Toyota Auris – was found near Aust Services near to the Severn Bridge crossing days later.

On April 24, a woman's body was recovered from the water near Milford Haven , following an operation involving multiple emergency services.

Although the body has not yet been formally identified, Avon and Somerset Police believe it may be that of Ms Kulkarni.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Formal identification has not yet taken place but due to items recovered we have made the family of missing 42-year-old woman Uma Kulkarni aware of this discovery.

"We are keeping them fully updated.

"No further details will be released at this stage."
