A body has been found amid the search for a Scots man who went missing one year ago.
Alan Taylor was last seen on September 8, 2021, and he was believed to have been at The Three Sisters in Glencoe around 6am the following day.
The 57-year-old, from Dundee, was reported missing when he failed to return to work on Tuesday September 21 as his worried siblings realised something was wrong.
His car, a grey Fiat Punto - registration TN07 OWK - was found abandoned at The Three Sisters carpark.
Police Scotland have now confirmed the body of a man was discovered in a gully near Aonach Eagach Ridge, Glencoe, on Wednesday, August 21, 2022.
A formal identification has still to take place, however, police believe it to be Alan and his family have been informed.
Officers are liaising with the family and say the death is not being treated as suspicious .
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "On Wednesday 31 August, 2022, police received a report the body of a man had been discovered in a gully near Aonach Eagach Ridge, Glencoe.
"A formal identification has still to take place, however, police believe it to be 57-year-old Alan Taylor, who has been missing from Dundee since September 2021.
"Officers are liaising with the family. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
