A body found at a Melbourne home has been identified as missing man Brendon Farrell, Victoria Police say.

Mr Farrell, 32, was last seen by a friend on May 31 at his home in Doveton, in the city's southeast, and police believe he fell victim to a violent crime.

Detectives discovered human remains at a Noble Park home on Friday and police confirmed on Wednesday the body was Mr Farrell's.

Three men have been charged over his death.

Richard Jackson, 49, faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday, a day after his arrest, charged with murder.

A 30-year-old Hampton Park man has also been charged with murder while a 49-year-old Noble Park man is charged with accessory to murder.

All three men will be back in court on December 3.
