Body Coach Joe Wicks to do live PE sessions for Scots kids on coronavirus lockdown

Body Coach Joe Wicks is set to host live PE sessions for kids in coronavirus lockdown.

The fitness guru made the announcement on his Facebook page this morning in a bid to keep the nation's children fit and active while schools are closed as Covid-19 grips the country.

Posting on his Facebook page The Body Coach, Joe said: "I’m going to be the Nations PE teacher everyday Monday to Friday at 9am.

"It's a workout specifically designed for kids. The schools are closed, there is no PE, don't worry, I've got you, I'm going to take this over.

"I'm going to get your kids moving, feeling energised, positive, optimistic so tune in, Monday morning, 9am.

"It's a 30 minute sessions for little kids, right up to secondary school, get involved, have fun. We are going to be doing loads of basic exercise, you don't need a lot of room. I'm going to take of it.

Joe's post racked up more than 55,000 views, 4,000 shares in just 15 minutes and thousands of comments from parents keen to keep their children active.

One mum said: "This is an amazing idea my son loves doing your short workouts on YouTube so we will defo be tuning in everyday! "

Another said: "This is going to be a great way to start the homeschooling day. Great work Joe."

"Wonderful Joe, thankyou. Lovely to see so many celebs and successful people doing what they can to help (as well as all the rest of us mere mortals of course!)," added another.
