Body camera captures moment policeman is hit by train while chasing burglar

A police officer remarkably survived being hit by a train while chasing a man down the tracks - an incident captured by the officer's 3D body camera.

The incident, which involved Officer Andy Anderson, happened on the train tracks on College Street in Polk County, Georgia.

Footage from a 3D body camera shows Andy moving down the tracks, visibly focused on tracking the perpetrator ahead of him.

A train then comes into the shot and can be heard blaring its horn before the officer appears to be thrown into bushes alongside the tracks.

The camera appears to spiral through the air before landing sideways in some grass.
