Body and Soul festival 2019: Line up, tickets, stage times, weather and more

The Body and Soul festival is returning to Westmeath for 2019 this weekend and here is everything you need to know before heading down.

The festival is kicking off today in Ballinlough Castle and will continue on until Sunday June 23.

After 10 years running, festival goers are invited to “enter a parallel world of spellbinding music and performance”.

Tickets cost around €209 with installment plans in place and Sunday tickets available for €75 but all tickets are expected to be sold out by today.

This is a strict over 20s event with proof of ID required upon entry, however children under 12 are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a parent/legal guardian with a Family Camping Ticket or Sunday day ticket.

For those camping, there is a choice between staying in the general campsite or the Us&You campsite.

The Us&You campsite is a ‘green campsite’ for environmentally conscious campers who commit to ‘leave no trace’ and is a part of Body & Soul's commitment to sustainability.

They soon hope to make the entire festival grounds environmentally friendly.

There is also a glamping campsite available with a boutique campsite packed full of pre-pitched tents, Bell tents, tipis and yurts.

Cars are not permitted on the campsites but campervans are allowed with a family campervan ticket.

Pets, gazebos and smoking is not permitted on the campgrounds.

The festival will open at 4pm on Friday and 10.30am on Saturday and Sunday.

Modeselektor Live, The Blaze, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Iamddb, Mashrou’ Leila, Kate Tempest, Octavian and Ms Banks are all lined up as acts for the weekend, with a full breakdown of stage times available here.

Bus Eireann will be providing special services from Dublin throughout the weekend and will provide Friday to Monday services from Cork, Galway, Mullingar, Cahir, Limerick, Portlaoise, Waterford and Naas.

A full list of bus services from Dublin and other cities and access to booking tickets is available here.

If driving to the festival from Dublin take the M3/N3 north then take the first exit N52 towards Clonmellon where signs for the festival should be visible.

From Mullingar take N52 towards Delvin then onto the N51 where signs should become visible.

Travel along the N51 towards Delvin where signs should be visible if travelling from the Athboy direction.

Food and alcohol is allowed on the campgrounds and festival but no glass is allowed and one litre reusable plastic bottles are available for €1 at the main entrance.

Alcohol must not go over these allowances: 24 x 500 ml cans of beer, cider or ready-mix drinks or 1 x 750ml bottle of spirits or 3 bottles of wine (decanted into a plastic bottle), or 1 x 2-litre wine box.

Weather is expected to be warm with temperatures as high as 21C but rainy conditions will also occur so it is urged to bring clothing suitable for changing weather conditions.
