Bodies of man and woman found in house in apparent murder-suicide

A man and a woman were found dead inside a home in south Wales in an apparent murder-suicide.

Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police found the bodies at a property in Llanelli just after 8.30pm on Sunday, December 29.

The bodies belonged to a 58-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, reports Wales Online.

The man's death is being treated as murder however the force are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.

A neighbour, who has lived on the street for 50 years, said: "I feel like something was wrong because the blinds have been closed the past couple of days.

"It’s usually a nice place to live around here but it is really frightening that something like that could happen so near to me."

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating the sudden deaths of two people in Llanelli.

"The man's death is being treated as a murder and the woman's as a non-suspicious death.

"Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased at this tragic time."

An inquest will be held in due course.
