Bodies of man and woman found in a home as police investigate 'unexplained' deaths

The bodies of a man and a woman have been found at a home in Norwich as police are treating the deaths as "unexplained".

The house in quiet New Costessey has been cordoned off.

Yesterday, police were to called to responed to safety concerns at 11.30am on Saturday.

When police arrived both of the people inside were pronounced dead at the scene.

They are currently being treated as unexplained as police are working to establish the circumstances leading up to their deaths.

This morning there were two police cars outside the house. An officer was seen at the front of the property and a second one was manning the back.

Shortly before 8am, police began knocking on the doors of the neighbours down the quiet, residential street.

Residents wrote online that they had seen forensic teams going in and out of the house as officers were asking about the last time the people in the house were seen

No more information has been released so far by police.

Detective Inspector Matt Stuart said: “We are still in the very early stages of our investigation and officers are working to establish the events leading up to these deaths.

"However, whilst we must keep an open mind about the circumstances, our initial enquiries lead us to believe this is an isolated incident.”
