Bobby Zlamal leaves Hearts as keeper joins St Johnstone on emergency loan

Bobby Zlamal has left Hearts to join St Johnstone on an emergency loan.

The goalkeeper will be involved in Saints’ Scottish Cup semi-final clash with St Mirren this weekend after making the move.

It comes after St Johnstone confirmed four players would miss Sunday’s clash with the Paisley outfit after two positive Covid tests.

And it means Zlamal will come up against the team he spent time on loan at earlier this season for a similar reason.

The Tynecastle goalkeeper has been third choice behind Craig Gordon and Ross Stewart this season and was sent on loan to St Mirren in September.

He joined St Mirren on a seven day loan after their goalkeeper were all ruled out with Covid.

He played three games for the side before returning to Hearts and could now play in a Scottish Cup semi-final.

A short statement from Saints said: "The Club have today completed the emergency 7-day loan signing of @JamTarts goalkeeper, Zdeněk Zlámal.

"We are extremely grateful to @JamTarts for turning this around on such short notice."

Saints beat Rangers in the quarter-final of the competition after Zander Clark's last minute header was diverted into the net by Chris Kane.
