Bobby Madden slaughtered by Rangers' potential foes Olympiacos as he's branded a Champions League dud

Bobby Madden has been been slated by Olympiacos boss Pedro Martins after his performance in their Champions League qualifier.

The Greek side were able to salvage a 1-1 draw against Ludogorets with a late goal from Aguibou Camara ahead of the second leg in Bulgaria.

Fuming Martins wasn't pleased after the final whistle despite the late leveller placing the blame on the Scottish whistler for the result.

He insisted that there were several game-changing calls that opened the door for tough-tackling on star man Youssef El Arabi from the visitors,

Martins, who was booked for his reactions on the touchline, handed Madden a post-match dressing down.

The furious coach told the Greek media: "The one who did not respond to a Champions League level game was the referee.

"Some of his decisions affected the game, especially against Olympiacos.

"We are talking about many decisions in the match against Olympiacos that were not as fair as they should have been. We are talking about the El Arabi decisions.

"The referee was not as good as this tournament deserves."

Should Rangers turn their game against Malmo around on aggregate at Ibrox next week, the winners of the Ludogorets and Olympiacos clash will face Steven Gerrard' s side.

Match officials are assigned these ties by UEFA before the draw in Nyon.
