Bobby Madden Rangers display Twitter rant sees Motherwell director hit with £750 SFA fine

Motherwell director Andrew Wilson has been handed a £750 SFA fine after social media comments made about referee Bobby Madden.

During The Steelmen's 5-1 defeat at home to Rangers last month, Wilson took to Twiiter to make his feelings known about the whistler.

In a series of scathing comments he pointed to "two penalties denied for us" for fouls on Tony Watt and Allan Campbell.

After the man in the middle once again award a handball, Wilson took to social media adding: "Farcical decision by Bobby Madden.

"Two pens to Rangers neither strong but second just ludicrous."

When responding to a tweet about Madden's performance, he continued the damning verdict: "He has certainly been the most dangerous player on the field for Motherwell to cope with and strong in defence also."

The comments landed the former SNP MSP in hot water for a breach of rules which state: "No recognised football official under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall on social networking criticise the Decision(s) and/or performance(s) of any or all match official(s)."

The posts have now seen the governing body issue a fine to the Motherwell man of £750.
