Bobby Gould looks back at life on and off the field at Bristol Rovers and Wimbledon's iconic 'Crazy Gang'

The latest edition of The Subs Bench has landed.

The popular Made In Bristol show has arrived on Bristol Live with Richard Latham and Nigel Turner interviewing a host of former Bristol Rovers and Bristol City players from across the generations.

This week's episode is with Bobby Gould who not only bridged the Bristol divide on the pitch but went on to manage Rovers over two spells in the 1980s, where he build the foundations of what a long and memorable career in the dugout.

Gould discusses how the city of Bristol has not only just shaped his life in a football sense but also beyond, as he and his family are still based in Portishead.

Speaking with Memorial Stadium as backdrop, the former Wales boss also indulges some stories of "magical" former chief executive Gordon Bennett and his highlights in charge of the Gas, from FA Cup memories to keeping the club in Division 3.

Fundamental to Gould's ethos and symbolic of Bristol Rovers, both then and now, is how the club will always be bigger than the individual, something which helped guide Wimbledon's Crazy Gang to success on his watch.
