Liverpool continue to be linked with a host of players, as Jurgen Klopp takes a view on where to strengthen his squad during the transfer window.
As fresh rumours about the potential new Anfield arrivals continue to surface, we have taken a look at the latest pieces of gossip to see what they could mean for the Reds.
Who?
Bobby Duncan
Where?
The Telegraph is reporting that Derby County are offering the former Liverpool striker a surprise return to English football.
The report claims that the Rams are close to agreeing a fee with the Serie A club for the teenager.
What?
The teenager’s Anfield departure left a bitter taste in the mouths of those associated with the Reds, after the player’s former agent, Saif Rubie, issued a statement accusing the club of "damaging his mental health".
Liverpool denied the claims and Duncan's move to Italy has not worked out, with the forward failing to make a senior first-team appearance for Fiorentina.
Prior to leaving Liverpool, Duncan was seen as one of the most exciting youngsters emerging in European football, and will be hoping to recapture the type of form that made him a star in Liverpool Under-18 team.
Who?
Jonathan David
Where?
The Athletic, cited by Caught Offside, claim Liverpool were monitoring the Canada international at Gent prior to his move to Lille, but ultimately decided to push ahead with interest in Diogo Jota and Ismaila Sarr.
What?
The 20-year-old did impress after scoring 18 goals in 27 games in Belgium last season, and was linked with a host of Premier League clubs as a result.
One thing that is clear is the Reds have clearly been interested in a forward this summer and will have no doubt eyed a number of targets ahead of signing Jota.
But it is hard not to think that Liverpool have definitely made the right move opting for proven Premier League experience.
Who?
Divock Origi
Where?
The Daily Mail have claimed that Brighton are looking at the 25-year-old, who has not yet appeared for the Reds in 2020/21.
What?
Origi has made 140 appearances in total for Liverpool, scoring 34 goals and making 12 assists.
The forward also scored twice against Barcelona in the famous semi-final second leg in the Champions League, and then against Tottenham Hotspur in the final as the Reds won the European Cup for a sixth time.
But with Jota joining Klopp’s forward line last week, added to the fact the formidable trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are all still at the club, the 25-year-old may well need to leave Anfield in order to secure first-team football this season.
