Bobby Duncan makes Fiorentina debut following Liverpool departure

Bobby Duncan was handed his Fiorentina debut on Friday in a friendly against Perugia.

The former Liverpool attacker , who left Anfield last week to join the Serie A side, came on as a substitute in the 74th minute for another of the Italian club's new signings Franck Ribery.

It is unclear whether the 18-year-old will spend his time on the fringes of Fiorentina's senior set up or play a more prominent role but his immediate introduction suggests the latter could be on the cards.

Duncan sealed a move from Liverpool to Fiorentina amid a series of astonishing claims about the Reds - including that he was being held against his wil.

The striker, who played six times for the Reds U23s, was seemingly unhappy about his lack of opportunities at Anfield and so moved to the Serie A in search of regular first-team football .
