Bobby Brown III ‘should be OK’ after hyperextending knee vs. Giants

Bobby Brown III has been a key defender in the middle of the Rams’ defense this season, particularly when it comes to stopping the run. He missed time with an MCL injury earlier this year and on Sunday against the Giants, he exited with a knee injury and did not return.

Sean McVay shared an update on the Rams’ starting nose tackle Monday, saying that Brown “should be OK” after hyperextending his knee. The injury was much less severe than it looked and he should be able good to go this week.

“We’re fortunate that he just hyperextended his knee but he should be OK,” McVay said. “We were fearful that it might’ve been something worse. He might be limited in practice but we expect him to be good to go this week.”

In 12 games this season, Brown has 27 tackles, a half-sack, three tackles for a loss and one quarterback hit. He’s not an impactful pass rusher, which few nose tackles are, but he’s the Rams’ biggest defensive lineman and makes a lot of plays against the run.
