Bobbi Kristina Brown: Autopsy shows 'no obvious cause of death' according to medical examiners

An autopsy on Bobbi Kristina Brown has shown no obvious cause of death according to medical examiners.

The only daughter of the late Whitney Houston died aged 22, seven months after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Atlanta home by her adoptive brother Nick Gordon, who she referred to as her husband.

She was put in a medically-induced coma, but experts have suggested that the long time period between Brown being found in January and passing away make identifying the cause of death much more difficult.

Notable deaths in 2015

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said in a statement that there were ‘no significant injuries’ or ‘previously unknown medical conditions’.

It said the next step would be issuing subpoenas for documents, possibly including Brown’s hospital records, but it may be several weeks before a conclusion is reached.

Following Brown’s death, Gordon’s mother Michele Gordon issued a statement, saying they were ‘devastated’ by her passing and that they have ‘suffered greatly’.

“Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply,” she said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time.”
