- British rap-punk duo Bob Vylan's planned performance in Tilburg, Netherlands, has been cancelled following remarks made about right-wing activist Charlie Kirk during a recent show in Amsterdam.
- Kirk, 31, an ally of President Donald Trump, was shot and killed at a speaking event in Utah last week in what US authorities are calling a political assassination.
- At the Netherlands show, frontman Bobby Vylan said “rest in peace Charlie Kirk, you piece of s**t” and “if you chat s**t you will get banged”.
- The 013 venue in Tilburg said that the new statements “go too far”, despite previously allowing the band to perform after they chanted "death to the IDF" at Glastonbury.
- Amsterdam's Paradiso, where the remarks were made, defended artistic freedom but acknowledged the statements were "harsh and offensive", while Bob Vylan denied celebrating Kirk's death.
