Recruitment specialist BoardroomAdvisors.co.uk has appointed Charlie Dickson to lead and build its team on the east coast of Scotland.
The business aims to build a pool of part-time experienced executive directors for commercial, operations and CEO roles, which can help SMEs scale up more quickly.
Edinburgh-based Dickson aims to build a team of up to eight senior advisors by September, working with firms from the capital to Inverness. The plan is to have 20 advisors in place across Scotland by the end of the year.
Dickson is a specialist in helping SMEs scale-up through franchisee models and has worked with firms in automotive, fitness and e-commerce. He holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh and is a native of the city.
He said: “Scotland is brimming with innovative firms, especially in areas such as finance, tech and life sciences. We provide part-time executives who understand the issues many of these businesses need to overcome to successfully scale-up.”
