In what was a matter of a formality, the state Board of Regents approved Dooley Field. Dooley field will be a long needed addition to Stanford Stadium. Next up a Herschel Walker statue? Bulldogs fans can dream right?
Dooley and Walker helped lead Georgia to the 1980 National Title. Dooley kept the Dawgs on a sustained path of excellence for years. Dooley was 201-77-10 as head coach. The field is set to be named Dooley Field for the home opener vs. Murray St. It adds some much needed flair to the September 7th game.
