Board game loving Lanarkshire residents can live the dream this Christmas

Board game loving Lanarkshire folk can live the dream this festive season as a UK-based company is searching for someone to stay at home in their pyjamas and play board games all day long.

Getting stuck into a good family board game is a key part of the Christmas festivities, and to make this year even more entertaining, one lucky Lanarkshire games enthusiast is being offered the chance to trial a selection of retro-inspired games as John Adam's very first ‘board director’.

Stepping into the role, the successful candidate will have the chance to test out classic IDEAL® games including Rummikub, Silly Sausage, Ghost Castle and Go for Broke, whilst taking home a £500 ‘salary’ plus a selection of board games to keep and play to their heart’s content.

The lucky candidate will simply be required to play the games at home with loved ones and feedback on their experiences to the John Adams HQ.

Simon Pilkington, group managing director at John Adams, said: “For those who have a passion for all things gaming, we’re seeking demon dice rollers and sophisticated shufflers in Lanarkshire to step up and take our newly created role of board director.

“The only work involved is playing board games and spending quality time at home with loved ones in your jammies, what could be better at Christmas?

“At John Adams we love bringing people together through our games, and as part of the new role, we want feedback on all gaming experiences, so we can continue to innovate and ensure the best playing experience for our customers.

“In return, we will pay a good ‘salary’ and provide a selection of classic retro-inspired IDEAL® games for our board director to keep and play forever."

If you think you’ve got what it takes, Lanarkshire board game fanatics can apply now online.

The deadline is 5pm on Friday, December 10 and successful applicants will be notified the week commencing December 13. T&C's apply.
