BNP Paribas has appointed Reema Al-Asmari as head of territory for Saudi Arabia to oversee the bank’s national commercial strategy and boost relationships with clients, multinational corporations and government-related entities.
Speaking to Asharq Al-Awsat, Head of Middle East and Africa Amine Bel Hadj Soulami said Al-Asmari's great experience will bolster the bank's performance in the Kingdom, where it has been operational since 2005.
Soulami further said that banks that focus on sustainable finance support the transformation that the Kingdom aspires to, especially regarding renewable energy, which plays a key role in supporting Saudi Arabia's drive for economic diversification.
Al-Asmari previously worked at Natixis, where she was CEO for Saudi Arabia. Also, she was head for treasury services for JPMorgan Chase & Co in the Kingdom.
