BMW smashes into house as woman suffers injuries

A woman was injured after a car careered into the side of a house, in a residential street.

Police were called to reports, on February 5, at around 10pm, that a BMW had crashed into the side of a house and hit a woman.

Pictures at the scene of the crash, which happened a the junction of Grosvenor Road and St Helens Road, in Prescot, show a large hole in the brick work of the end of terrace house.

The area has since been cordoned off for safety purposes.

The woman is understood to have suffered a leg injury at the scene.

A 39 year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, disqualified driving, drink driving and driving without insurance.
