A man has been arrested after leading police on a 20 minute car chase around Bolton .
The driver of a black BMW allegedly led Greater Manchester Police traffic cops around the town and even crashed into a police car at one point.
Officers used Tactical Pursuit And Containment (TPAC) tactics, including two spike strips, to bring the chase to an end.
The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
Once in custody, the man also refused to provide a sample for analysis. He is due to be charged later today.
GMP Traffic shared the news and a photo of the BMW, surrounded by four police cars, on social media.
A spokesman tweeted: "After 20min pursuit all around Bolton. The driver of this BMW was eventually arrested after #TPAC tactics and 2 successful stingers brought the pursuit to a safe conclusion.
"However not before the driver had rammed a police vehicle. Also failed to provide in custody too!
"The driver was arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving whilst unfit through drink/drugs. He will be charged later today and remanded to court to answer for his actions"
