"Traffic is getting past but it's causing delays on the road out of Broadmead, as it's down to one lane."

The road was cleared by 3.45pm.

First West of England operations director Ian Coyle said: "A Service 45 was involved in a minor collision on Lower Castle Street this afternoon.

"The safety and wellbeing of our customers and the public is our number one priority, no injuries were reported and the driver enabled the passengers to disembark, where they went on to catch other services from nearby stops.

"The bus was returned to the depot and an investigation into the circumstances has begun.”
