BMW Championship: How to watch Tiger Woods’ opening round on Thursday

After an oblique injury and back tightness ruined Tiger Woods’ weekend at The Northern Trust, the 15-time major champion needs a solid result this week at Medinah if he hopes to return to the Tour Championship in a few weeks.

Woods said Wednesday that his body feels “so much better” than it did last week.

Via Golfweek:

“It was nice to take those days off, and I had to just let it calm down and get a bunch of treatment on it, and it feels so much better,” Woods said of his back. “I played nine today, played the front nine, and played well, which was nice to see, nice to feel. Definitely doesn’t feel like it did on Friday, that’s for sure.”

Televised coverage of the BMW Championship will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.

You can stream coverage online via GolfChannel.com.

Tiger Woods will tee off at 12:54 p.m. ET in a group with Billy Horschel and C.T. Pan.

If you have an NBC Sports gold subscription, you can watch featured group coverage.

As always, the best way to follow Woods’ round if you can’t watch is via @GCTigerTracker.

Woods opened his round with a birdie at the par-4 1st hole.

After a par at the second, Woods drilled a 39-footer for birdie at No. 3.
