Blues’ Carl Gunnarsson told his coach he needed ‘one more chance’ while standing at the urinal

With just two minutes left in the tied Game 2 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final, Carl Gunnarsson sent a screamer of a slapper at the net. It got by Tuukka Rask on his glove side … but it nailed the post.

According to his coach Craig Berube, he said that after regulation, Gunnarsson came up to the urinal beside Berube and while doing his business, he said that “all (he) needed was one more chance.”

He got that one more chance and buried the game-winner in overtime to tie the series at 1-1.
