Bluedot announces new acts for 2023 festival and releases day tickets

Bluedot festival has released a raft of new acts for the 2023 event, and also a new wave of daytime tickets. The tickets are released today and will cost £49 for each day of the festival, which is happening from July 20 to 23.

Among those added to this year’s bill are 2manydjs, Erol Alkan, London indie band Sorry, John Grant’s side project Creep Show, Kokoroko, Future Utopia and DJ Elkka. They join an already stellar line-up, including headliner Grace Jones, who will close out the festival on Sunday night.

Also playing this year are alt-rock pioneers Pavement, Roisin Murphy, Leftfield, Young Fathers, Dry Cleaning, Django Django, Max Cooper and Radio 1’s Annie Mac.

Festival director Ben Robinson said: “We are delighted to share another wave of incredible live artists and DJs to add to our existing line-up. The overwhelming influence of 2manydjs and Erol Alkan made them a perfect choice for Saturday’s Late Night, while new additions like Sorry and Kokoroko are part of a really exciting bill of new and underground names.

“We look forward to welcoming you all to Jodrell Bank this summer to continue the cosmic adventures.”

The festival, now in its sixth year, takes place at the Jodrell Bank observatory, with the main stage in the shadow of the iconic Lovell Radio Telescope. Previous headliners have included the likes of Bjork, The Flaming Lips, Pixies, Underworld, Jean-Michel Jarre and The Chemical Brothers.

As involved in education as it is music, talks have come from astronauts Tim Peake and Helen Sharman, as well as the likes of Brian Cox, Alice Roberts and Richard Dawkins.

Tickets are on sale now.
