Blue's Lee Ryan recalls Eurovision diarrhea horror as past contestants watch Netflix film

Pop star Lee Ryan disclosed a diarrhea nightmare from his Eurovision past while watching Netflix's new Eurovision film.

Former contestants from the world-famous singing contest were sat down by Netflix to view the Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

The film is a fictional comedy that follows two Icelandic singers (Ferrell and McAdams) who have dreams of winning the song contest, which take them all the way to compete at the finals in Scotland.

Old stars who were seen in the new clip, which is reminiscent of Channel 4 series Gogglebox, include Blue, Conchita Wurst, Courtney Act, The Fizz (formerly Bucks Fizz), and Scooch.

However, it was the comments from Blue member Lee Ryan that made the real mark.

While watching the film and reminiscing about their time in the song contest in 2011, his bandmate Duncan James said to Lee: "Remember when you had diarrhea and farted and followed through in the car and it stank the whole car out?"

It would seem that the event was clearly still etched in Lee's memory too.

Lee replied: "I didn't just follow through, it went all up my back."

It wasn't the only memory that Lee remembered of the competition as he was left unable to have a drink.

He added: "I remember them saying don’t get p****d, don’t get p****d and I’m like 'I really want to get p****d'."

Blue competed in Eurovision back in 2011 (BBC)

Blue performed their single I Can for the song contest back in 2011 and placed 11th.

Lee asked while watching the film: "How come we didn't get a shot to be in this movie?"

Lee's other fellow bandmate Simon Webbe retorted: "Because we got beat by Jedward."

Meanwhile, Courtney and former champion Conchita discussed what naughtiness they may have gotten up to when they competed.

Courtney asked: "Did you have any hanky panky at Eurovision?'

Conchita teased: "I don’t - I mean, you know, make-up artists, and..."

Very cheeky, Conchita!

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga is available now on Netflix.
