Blue Peter legend Katy Hill shares snaps of HUGE face scar FOUR years after accident

Blue Peter legend Katy Hill has shared snaps of a huge face scar she got in a horrific accident at home four years ago.

The TV host, 51, bravely posted a series of pictures showing off the stiches she was left with on her forehead.

Katy documented the healing process of the nasty scar and opened up on how lucky she felt to be alive following the accident.

She emotionally wrote: "WHAT'S IT GONNA TAKE? An accident? A global pandemic? A big life change? What's YOUR wakeup call gonna be?

"This was mine. 2019 I was literally stopped in my tracks - a few months before the world was.

"I thought I was on the way out, and all from bringing the morning fun at home. In my own home. THAT'S what freaked me out."

She further explained: "The irony that I'd spent my early career throwing myself out of planes and down skeleton runs and flying fast jets - essentially taking ALL the risks - wasn't lost on me.

"Here I was in the 'safety' of my own home."

"It wasn't until I heard all the horror stories in the hospital that I realised how fortunate I was and how I could easily not be here now. SO grateful for this scar and that I get to have a scar!"

Katy added: "Now? I don't take ANY of this journey for granted because it can CHANGE IN A HEARTBEAT."

The children's TV presenter tripped whilst running upstairs with her daughter, racing her to the toilet.

She ended up catching the top step with her boot and was sent flying across the floor, head first into the lid of the toilet.

Katy previously revealed the incident could have actually killed her.

"It was horrendous; the doctors were stitching me up for an hour," she told Hello! Magazine.

She explained how doctors told her the human skull is really thin just above the eyebrow and to the side.

"I realised how life can change in a split second," she continued.

The former presenter landed her dream job on Blue Peter in 1995 and married her childhood sweetheart Andrew Frampton in 1999.

The couple divorced two years later and Katy went on to date Live and Kicking co-host Trey Farley.

They share two children, Kaya and son Akira.
