Woman dies at Blue Line station at Pulaski

A woman died after falling on the tracks after an altercation Tuesday morning at the CTA Blue Line station at Pulaski.

Officers responded to a call of an altercation at 5:30 a.m. and found the woman lying on the tracks in the 500 block of South Pulaski Road, Chicago police said.

Witnesses told officers the woman jumped on the tracks after an altercation with a person, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Blue Line service was suspended for three hours, until 8:30 a.m., between LaSalle and Forest Park, according to the Chicago Transit Agency.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on her death.
