Blue Lagoon unveils plans for new city centre restaurant and takeaway

Plans have been put forward by a popular Glasgow chippy chain to open a new restaurant and takeaway in the city centre.

Blue Lagoon has sought planning permission from Glasgow City Council to open a new branch at 43 Bath Street.

The building unit, located on the corner of Bath Street and West Nile Street, was previously used as a beautician shop but now lies empty.

Blue Lagoon already has several eateries around Glasgow, including city centre venues on Argyle Street , Gordon Street and Sauchiehall Street as well as a location in Gallowgate in the east end, Dumbarton Road in Partick and a takeaway in Glasgow Fort.

The planning application is now set to go before the council's planning committee ahead of a final decision being made.
