Blue Ivy Carter has become the second-youngest person ever to win a Grammy.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s nine-year-old daughter won the best music video trophy for her mother's hit “Brown Skin Girl” (featuring Wizkid and Saint Jhn) on Sunday (14 March) during the Grammy Premiere Ceremony. She shares the award with her mother.
The video, in which Blue Ivy stars and sings, was up against Harry Styles’ “Adore You”, Anderson .Paak‘s “Lockdown”, Woodkid’s “Goliath,” and Future‘s “Life Is Good” featuring Drake.
Leah Peasall of The Peasall Sisters is the youngest Grammy nominee, and winner, in history. She was one of the credited artists on the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack, which won album of the year in 2001 when she was eight years old.
In addition to best music video, Beyoncé, who is this year’s leading nominee with nine nods, won best rap performance for “Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion.

Beyoncé has 79 nominations in total, making her even with Paul McCartney as the second most-nominated artist of all time after her husband Jay-Z and Quincy Jones, who share the top spot with 80 nominations each.
The Grammy is not even the first award Blue Ivy has won this year for “Brown Skin Girl”. Last year, she won an NAACP Image Award, a BET Award, and a Soul Train Award.
