An airline has apologised after a flight from Jersey to Bristol was forced to turn back.
A flap on the Blue Islands flight, which allows the plane to connect to ground power, had not been properly closed.
The aircraft landed safely in Jersey and was sent to Bristol after an inspection by the Blue Islands inspection team, ITV News reported yesterday (May 3).
A spokesperson for Blue Islands told ITV the airline was sorry for the inconvenience caused.
"The safety of passengers, crew and aircraft is Blue Islands’ highest priority and we apologise for the inconvenience experienced," he said.

In more Bristol Airport news, a 'disruptive and drunk football team' were detained by police following a flight from Bristol to Alicante.
easyJet told Bristol Live the passengers were consuming alcohol on board which they had bought before the flight.
Bristol Airport recently banned travellers from drinking duty-free alcohol on flights , after an increase in booze-related incidents.

This group became so disruptive, Spanish authorities met them as they landed at 10.50pm on April 6.
It is believed the passengers were part of an amateur British football team consisting of 25 members, according the Mirror .
