Blue Ford Focus appeal after man suffers serious injuries in crash

Detectives are appealing for dashcam footage after a man suffered serious injuries in a crash which closed a Nottinghamshire road overnight.

Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to the A616 at Kneesall near Newark at around 4.15pm on Wednesday, December 9.

The driver was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre with suspected life-altering injuries after "a car collided with a tree".

Detective Sergeant Mark Baker, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: "We closed the road until around 2am this morning to allow for our thorough enquiries to take place.

"We are now keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a blue Ford Focus car driving in the area or from anyone who may have dashcam footage.

"The investigation continues and our thoughts are with the man and his family at this time."

If you do have any information, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident 438 of 9 December. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
