Blue blooms form symbol of Japan

Nemophila flowers, also known as baby blue eyes, are in bloom at Hamanako Garden Park in Nishi Ward, Hamamatsu. Blue and white nemophila, along with colorful violas, form an image of Mt. Fuji and a rainbow, which can be viewed from the park's observation deck. About 300,000 plants grow in the 3,000-square-meter area. Visitors can see the flowers at their best through mid-April.
