BLOW salon boss to open raw juice bar on Byres Road

A brand new raw juice bar is opening in Byres Road in Glasgow's west end this spring.

Hair and beauty guru Fallon Carberry, the brains behind salon BLOW, unveiled her brand new venture in a bid to shake up Glasgow's food and drink industry.

Cold press juices, smoothies, superfood acai bowls and more will be on the menu for health-conscious Glaswegians – with a big focus on fresh, natural ingredients and wellness.

It's hoped the new shop will be opening in April, with Fallon already eyeing other locations in Scotland.

The entrepreneur said she was inspired to kickstart her passion project after spotting a gap in the market for more healthy choices in the city.

Fallon told Glasgow Live : "I've been on a little journey with health and fitness in lockdown. It's become a lifestyle.

"I think there's no better time than now to bring this to people. This is real goodness, fruit and veg, like a portion of salad in a bottle and many people struggle to get their five-a-day.

"There aren't enough places serving nutritious food and drinks as takeaway, and we want to change that.

"Everyone needs a pick-me-up right now. Our saying is 'health is an inside job and we've bottled it."

The menu has been designed with nutritionist Natalie Blue to ensure their drinks pack a nutritious punch – with playful names hinting at their health-boosting properties.

Each drink is "super-charged" with an ingredient: Their Botox bottle boasts skin-loving collagen, Zen AF has CBD oil and their Brain Food bottle has an energising turmeric kick.

Fallon added: "We just want to make health fun. Some people might perceive raw and organic as boring – we want to create this cool new concept."

Fallon is aiming to start up on delivery services such as Deliveroo or Uber Eats to get bottles delivered to your door in the next month.
