Blow as EK Thistle boss 'offers resignation', sparking club row

East Kilbride Thistle have been rocked by news that manager Iain Diack has "offered his resignation".

The Showpark club, who are due to travel to Wishaw in the West of Scotland League this evening, hinted that Diack's decision to step down is because he's in talks with another club.

A statement issued by the club read: "The club regrets to confirm that Iain Diack has offered his resignation from his position as East Kilbride Thistle manager.

"We have fought hard to keep Iain at East Kilbride Thistle and have not accepted his resignation whilst discussions with another club are taking place.

"However, whatever happens, we want to place on record our sincere gratitude for everything Iain has done for the club over the last 18 months.

"Garry O'Hanlon will be placed in temporary charge until the matter is resolved.

"The club will not be commenting any further at this time."
