Blossoms, Robert Glasper and D Double E among first acts confirmed to play new music venue Lafayette

Blossoms, Robert Glasper and D Double E are among the first acts confirmed to play at new King’s Cross venue Lafayette.

The new 600-capacity music spot, set to open in February next year, is the second venue launched by Mumford and Sons’ Ben Lovett, following the success of Omeara in London Bridge.

It will kick off its live programme on February 20 with a gig from London band HMLTD, with Stockport five-piece Blossoms arriving on March 5.

It will be followed a three-day residency from US producer and pianist Robert Glasper, from March 6-8.

Elsewhere, there will be shows featuring Bedouin Soundclash, Jonathan Wilson, Hollow Coves and others.

Lafayette will form part of the new Goods Way space, set to include street food outlets Duck Truck and Breddos Tacos, a New Orleans-inspired bar and more.
