British indie pop/rock band Blossoms will give a Bangkok debut concert at Voice Space, Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, on Saturday at 7pm.
Presented by The Very Company and You2Play, the "Blossoms Live In Bangkok" will see the quintet from Stockport of England perform many of their hits, including Charlemagne, Honey Sweet and I Can't Stand It.
Formed in April 2013, Blossoms released their first single, You Pulled A Gun On Me, in early 2014 and several EPs that sent them to tour the UK. They released their self-titled debut album in August 2016. Comprised of their eight singles, it went atop the UK Albums Chart and received positive reviews from critics.
Their second album, Cool Like You, was released this April and it includes two hit singles -- I Can't Stand It and There's A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls). The album peaked at No.4 on the UK Albums Chart and at No.1 on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.
The band consists of Tom Ogden (lead vocals, guitar), Charlie Salt (bass and backing vocals), Josh Dewhurst (lead guitar, percussion), Joe Donovan (drums) and Myles Kellock (keyboards and backing vocals). They are touring Europe and will embark upon Asia for two gigs in Japan and one in Bangkok before returning to tour the UK.
Tickets cost 2,300 baht and can be purchased from ticketmelon.com/very/blossoms.
