Bloom: 'No-nonsense' nightclub from team behind Pergola to replace Mahiki Kensington

A nightclub located a stone’s throw from Kensington Palace and frequented by royals and celebrities is now re-opening as a “no-nonsense” bar with “no dress code or guestlists.”

Bloom will replace the west London location of legendary Mayfair celebrity haunt Mahiki, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke of Sussex, Rihanna and Harry Styles have all partied. The group opened its second Polynesian-themed bar in the capital on Kensington High Street in 2017.

Mahiki took over the location from alpine cabin-themed club Bodo’s Schloss, which is situated beneath the Royal Garden Hotel and just a few hundred metres from Kensington Palace. Rumours of a tunnel connecting the palace to the club for VIP royal access have existed for as long as the site has been a club.

Now Incipio Group the team behind food and drink courts Pergola Paddington and Olympia, as well as The Prince pub in West Brompton has taken on the site.

Bloom will have no strict guestlists or dress codes. Instead, there will be two fully stocked bars, a restaurant and a secret dancefloor open to everyone.

The 350-capacity, 6,000 square foot space will be free entry until 9.45pm and will be open until 3.30am on weekends.
