Blood seen on pavement near Leeds city centre bar after man stabbed

A male has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Leeds city centre this afternoon.

Police were called to Woodhouse Lane, near the Merrion Centre, this afternoon at 2.08pm to reports that a man had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital to be treated for arm injuries, which are not life-threatening.

Witnesses have reported seeing blood on the pavement outside the Walkabout bar and a police cordon was in place but has now been removed.

West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 2.08pm to report of an incident where a male had been stabbed.

They have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact them on 101 quoting crime reference 13210104188, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
