On the night of 8-9 October, a total lunar eclipse will be visible in many parts of the world. Viewers are likely to see the moon tinged orange or red, with the best visibility likely to be in the Pacific and the west coast of the US.
Back in April, Guardian readers took some spectacular photos of the last lunar eclipse. Can you match them? Send them in and we’ll compile a gallery of the best.
