Blood covers floor of city centre bar after late night brawl with one in hospital

A man was taken to hospital after a fight inside a bar in Manchester city centre.

Police were called to the incident on Deansgate just after 11pm on Saturday (December 11).

A group of men were fighting at the scene, the force said.

One had to be taken to hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life-changing, police added.

The men fled the scene of the fight before officers arrived and no arrests have been made.

One eyewitness said chairs were thrown during the 'mass brawl'.

Pictures taken after the fight show blood on the floor of the bar as well as smashed glass.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called around 11.05pm on Saturday 11 December to a business premises on Deansgate, Manchester to a report of a group of men fighting.

"During the fight a man was injured and taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-changing.

"The males fled the scene prior to police arrival.

"Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made."
