Blockbuster fight confirmed for Katie Taylor homecoming undercard

A blockbuster fight has been added to the undercard of Katie Taylor's May homecoming.

Taylor will fight professionally in Ireland for the first time in May when she takes on Chantelle Cameron as the 3Arena in Dublin.

And the undercard is taking shape with Terri Harper defending her WBA Super-Welterweight World Title against Cecilia Braekhus.

The fight takes at May 20 and sees former Pound-for-Pound number one Braekhus take on recently crowned Harper for the Super-Welterweight crown.

Braekhus is attempting to become a two-division World Champion and held the WBC and WBA World Titles at Welterweight from 2009 to 2020.

Harper is bullish about her chances, saying: "This fight has been a long time coming but it will be worth the wait to be on such an amazing card. All eyes around the world will be watching that night and I want to show everyone who Terri Harper is".

And Braekhus said: ""I'm very excited to challenge Terri Harper for the WBA 154lb. World Title on this tremendous card, my first time fighting in Ireland. I've spent my entire career facing the toughest challenges and this fight is another chapter".

An announcement on ticket details will be made soon in what is expected to be a sell out in Dublin.
