Snow is set to batter Scotland in a week-long spell of wintry weather after multiple warnings were put in place.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning from Tuesday until Sunday as six days of snow and ice are expected across the country.
The Highlands & Eilean Siar will be most affected today, with snowfall expected until midnight bringing travel delays, power cuts and increased risk of slips and falls.
Central, Tayside and Fife, Grampian, South-west Scotland, Lothian Borders and Strathclyde will also be hit with snow, ice and sleet.
Experts say between 10cm and 15 inches of snow could land in areas of high ground during the week-long winter weather spell.
A Met Office warning reads: "Snow, with a risk of widespread ice during Monday night and particularly Tuesday, bringing difficult travelling conditions."
The new weather warnings come in addition to another five issued until Sunday this week. As much as 15 inches could land on parts of Grampians throughout the 24 hours.
Beast from the East 2 fears have been ramped up in recent days as forecasters predict “disruptive snowfall” to land in Scotland to continue well into February.
In a long-range forecast for the UK, experts have warned that the “risk of wintry hazards continues to be greater than normal” during the end of next month.
