Whilst preparing dinner, which included digging up a shaw of tatties with help from Ella, talking to Glen on the phone about his desire to have me pay for his 'coming of age' tattoo *Gulp* and reassuring Abbie I would help her with her 'bead game' I became well aware of a situation that could be described as 'multi multi tasking' Photograph: Hope/Blipfoto
Visiting the deer park was supposed to be fun, and it was. The journey down was not, far too many arguments and complaints in the back seat. I wouldn't have minded, but the lashing rain and mad drivers on the other/my side of the road made things a little, Arrrrrrrrgggggg! Photograph: Hope/Blipfoto
Moths! Considered the tight man's/woman's wallet dweller. There are plenty of them swarming around the high intensity light outside my front door as I write. They also make me think of being poor, the current recession, freaking out when they invade your 'hair space' and leaving a powdery glittery trace as you scoop the dead ones from the surface of the bath Photograph: Hope/Blipfoto
My wallet is empty, my clutch is tight, as were my buttocks, as the mechanic handed me the invoice. Now can the trusty, crusty steed make the six and a half hour journey to another country? Photograph: Hope/Blipfoto
I made it! To Wales! Chick Flick and Camera Shy found me at around 7.00am curled up on their chair hugging a packet of Salt and Vinegar Hula Hoops (which I had to suck for fear of waking them). Their tight security methods were unable to keep me out and they are very lucky I didn't just leave with a bag of Canons Photograph: Hope/Blipfoto
Being away from home in such an isolated place is heaven. No phones, no interruptions into good conversations and some time to note that change really is as good as a rest. Climbing into this bed would guarantee good dreams Photograph: Hope/Blipfoto
We spent the day some time at the foot of Caernarfon Castle watching some men, boys and girls catch crabs in the harbour. It seemed to be quite an addictive pastime by the looks of it, although most of the mothers and ladies of the families opted for a seat and a read of their books. Can't imagine why Lunch followed by a trip home to Shy and Flick's abode, chasing rainbows in the rain and planning my trip back to Ecosse, which did actualy pass within one mile of where I spent two years as a child.
