Blindboy Boatclub, singer-songwriter, mental health advocate and the best-selling author of two collections of short stories, has today announced his return to Belfast with an appearance at the Ulster Hall on April 23.
The Rubberbandits singer, who first achieved fame back in 2011 with the satirical duo's breakthrough single 'Horse Outside', has become well known in the last few years for his latest creation, The Blindboy Podcast.
The podcast delves extensively into mental health issues, as well as touching on a wide spectrum of contemporary topics - including gun laws, feminism, film, music, literature and much more.
His signature 'hot takes' involve Blindboy making provocative commentary on a range of topics - everything from how Donald Trump spawned hip-hop, to how an Indonesian volcano led to the emergence of Gothic art.
In recent months, Blindboy has hosted numerous sell out live podcasts throughout Ireland, inviting local guests to take part in long form interviews.
He has previously hosted two memorable shows in Belfast, at the Ulster Hall and Whitla Hall, with guests including former MP and activist Bernardette Devlin-McAliskey, and legendary music journalist Stuart Bailie.
His guest for his April show will be announced in due course.
Tickets on sale Thursday 5 December at 10am from www.ulsterhall.co.uk
