Blind man rushed to hospital after being seriously injured as he boarded Glasgow subway train

Emergency services have rushed to Bridge Street Subway this afternoon after a man was injured as he boarded a train.

The incident, which happened just after 12pm, is reported to have involved a blind man who was waiting at the platform with his guide dog.

Subway bosses have closed both circles of the Glasgow Subway route as a result.

Police, ambulances and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been in attendance.
